Seniors Stay Active and Healthy at the YMCA!
At the YMCA of Greater Rochester, seniors stay active, get involved, and gain a sense of belonging. Whether it’s joining a social club, taking a class or participating in special events like senior camping, the YMCA provides seniors with opportunities to meet people and try new activities.
Group Exercise Classes:
- SilverSneakers Classes include level I, level II, SilverSplash and SilverStretch
- Water fitness classes are available for varied levels of fitness
- Yoga, Pilates, Tai-Chi and Qi-Gong provide excellent opportunities to build strength and flexibility

Health Insurance Co-Pay Benefits
Make your health insurance work for you! Both Preferred Care and Exellus BlueCross BlueShield offer great plans that provide wellness opportunities for seniors.
- Preferred Care Gold or Gold Anywhere subscribers receive a full-paid membership to the YMCA of Greater Rochester through the SilverSneakers Program. Call Preferred Care at (585) 325-3113 for more information on these plans or visit www.preferredcare.org.
- Medicare Blue Choice members are eligible for $650 per calendar year to be used toward a membership or wellness programs at the YMCA through the GoGetters Program. For more information about the GoGetters Program, visit www.excellusbcbs.com or call 1-800-671-6081.
