Through innovative, quality programs, the YMCA of Greater Rochester helps strengthen families, aids in the healthy development of children, and encourages positive individual behavior and contributes toward a healthier, safe community for all. Our programs build character by emphasizing the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. We offer a variety of programs including child care, swim lessons, leadership development, health and fitness classes, sports, camping, and more.

The YMCA of Greater Rochester is a charitable, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that seeks to place Christian principles into practice to help all people in our community reach their fullest potential in spirit, mind and body. For more than 150 years, our YMCA has provided opportunities for personal growth, community involvement and social interaction, building a healthier, stronger community.

Last year, our YMCA touched the lives of more than 120,000 children, teens, adults, seniors and families. Even more importantly, nearly 20 percent of the people we serve receive some type of financial assistance, made possible by generous contributions to our annual Invest in Youth Campaign. Last year alone, our YMCA provided more than $2.1 million in financial assistance, remaining true to our commitment to turn no one away due to an inability to pay fees.
