The YMCA’s scholarship program is a clear expression of our mission to build stronger kids, seniors, families, and communities. It is one of the many ways we seek to build a cohesive community that helps reach out to our neighbors iin need.

Some facts about our Invest in Youth fundraising :

Any donation of $250 or more gets your name on our giving tree in the Camp Store,

Any donation of $1000 or more and you are a member of the YMCA of Greater Rochester's Chairman's Roundtable,

In 2008 we raised $55,709,

In 2008 we raised $2,709 dollars more than our goal and $3,521 more than 2007,

In 2008 we sent 152 kids to camp on varying levels of camperships,

100% of our fundraising dollars are given back as camperships, no donated money is used towards administrative costs.

We provide camperships for all of our programs: Resident Camp, Day Camp, Family Camp, Nature's Retreat, Women's Body Peace Weekend, etc.
