TITLE:	Program Staff Associate (Youth Sports, Teens, Preschool, Families)

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under the general direction of the Associate Executive Director, the Program Director is responsible for the coordination, 
planning, administration, budget, supervision, and delivery of Youth Sports, Preschool, Teens, and Family programming.  The 
candidate must have the necessary training and experience to carry out their respective functions in the administration, 
operation, and maintenance of assigned program areas.  Greets everyone by name whenever possible; extends thanks whenever 
appropriate; makes relationship building the number one priority at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Education, Recreation, or related field.  This position requires the ability to 
make independent decisions, which adhere to the purpose, mission, and values of the YMCA.  The Staff Associate will be 
responsible for recruiting, training, and supervision of employees and volunteers under their jurisdiction.  Basic computer 
skills are essential.

This position requires experience in organizing, promoting, and directing youth, teens, families, and preschool programming and 
will function as a member of the total staff team in developing community relations, lay committees, and long-range planning, 
as well as the interpretation of YMCA programs to the public. Knowledge of various resources for programming ideas and the 
skills to utilize that information in directing daily activities is important.  Effective interpersonal skills are critical to 
the success of this position.
- Must successfully complete YMCA New Employee Orientation within 30 days of hire.
- Must possess or attain CPR/AED Certifications within 30 days of hire.
- Must successfully complete the YMCA's Listen First Learn & Implement Cycle within 6 months of hire.
- Must sign and demonstrate the YMCA of Greater Rochester's Staff Pledge.

SALARY RANGE: 	$30,000 - $32,000
GRADE:		35
