GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under the guidance of the Aquatic Director, Aquatic Staff Associate or Aquatic Coordinator, a lifeguard will 
uphold the rules and the guidelines of the pool to ensure the safest environment for all members.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must be at least 16 years of age; must have current YMCA Lifeguarding or Red Cross Lifeguarding 
and obtain YMCA Lifeguarding Certification within 60 days of hire; must have current CPR & AED for the 
Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid certification.  

WAGE RANGE:	$6.75 - $8.00
