TITLE:	Assistant Teacher - part time

GENERAL FUNCTION:
- Under the direction of the Center Director and Assistant Director, the assistant teacher is responsible for 
assisting and supporting the classroom teacher with the supervision and safety of the children in the room.
- Assist teacher in implementing daily classroom activities
- Support goals and objectives as set by the teacher
- Assumes responsibility for the class and program implementation in the teacher's absence.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- The assistant possessing a CDA or a related degree is preferred, but not required.
- Experience working with children and assisting the teacher in organized childcare activities within a 
childcare setting.  The assistant must have a sincere interest in working with children and working in staff 
team groups

WAGE RANGE:	$7.15-$7.96 per hour
GRADE:		5
