GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under the direct supervision of the Aquatic Director, the Water Fitness Instructor is responsible for planning, preparing and teaching standard, high quality YMCA fitness 
programs to registered participants.

Greets everyone by using names whenever possible; extends thanks whenever appropriate; makes relationship building the number one 
priority at all times. The position is responsible for ensuring that the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater 
Rochester is conveyed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must be 18 years of age or older, have an understanding of YMCA Fitness Program methods as well as overall YMCA philosophy.  Water 
Fitness and/or Aquatic Arthritis, CPR and First Aid certifications are highly desired.  The individual must be able to interact with people on a personal, as well as 
professional level in helping them attain maximum 
fitness. 

Principle Activities:
The member relations aspect of this position requires that relationship building be the number one priority at all times, attending to 
the needs and requests of health seekers, members and all people within the YMCA in courteous and friendly manner.


Wage Range:	$11.00 - $13.07
