An open house for a new child care center that will open in September is set for June 2 at the new Eastside Child Care Center at the Fairport Baptist Homes, 4646 Nine Mile Point Road.

The full-day child care center will be operated by the YMCA of Greater Rochester, in collaboration with the Fairport Baptist Homes.

The Eastside YMCA will organize, staff and run the child care center. The center will provide care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The new center will have a large playground area, on-site Y programming, a program with residents of Fairport Baptist Homes, nutritious meals and snacks, and a Y family membership for all families enrolled.
